Our love of natural fibres is at the core of our brand.

As a brand, we want to do whatever we can to minimise our environmental impact, and our choice to use natural fabrications is an integral part of this.

Our landfills are flooded with synthetic fibres that release hazardous chemicals and shed microfibres during laundering that hurt our waterways and our planet. A polyester shirt is thought to take anywhere from 20-200 years to decompose. According to the Australian Fashion Council, almost 60% of all clothing purchased in Australia is crafted from polyester or synthetic blends, further exacerbating environmental pollution.

Statistics like these drive us to do better.

NATURAL COTTON

When it comes to ‘feel good’ factor, cotton is the natural choice.

We are working on actively sourcing certified organic cotton and linen for future Waldrey collections.

Naturally hypoallergenic, cotton has unique anti-bacterial qualities as well as being super soft on your skin. Cotton breathes easily, unlike oil-based synthetic fabrics. It is incredibly versatile, gentle and breathable - perfect for sensitive skin.

Given the hot weather climate of Australia, cotton is a great choice for temperature regulation and moisture wicking. Above all, we love the drape of cotton, it sits beautifully against the body without clinging - defining our brand ethos of relaxed Australian style.

We are so incredibly grateful to call Australia home and we are commited to keeping our beautiful country clean. We donate $1 from every order to Clean Up Australia. Clean Up Australia Day is iconic and has the power to inspire and teach young children about waste issues, sustainability and how to take care of the environment.

Clean Up Australia is the nation's largest community-based mobilisation event. Last year more than 680,000 volunteers removed 15,000 truck loads of rubbish from the 6,901 registered locations across the country and around 2,240 preschools and primary schools were involved in Schools Clean Up Day.

These funds goes directly to empowering Australians, young and old, to take action for the environment.
